We’re growing our team at SALT! We’re a sustainable Canadian-made clothing brand and a creative design studio — which means we don’t just build brands, we live and breathe what it takes to run one. We know the highs and lows of e-commerce, the realities of fulfillment, and the details that make a brand thrive. This is our superpower, and it’s a bonus for both our clients and our team. Our office is in Victoria, BC. All roles are part-time to start, hybrid work available, and have the potential to grow into full-time for the right fit.

💻 ROLE 1 – Web & E-Commerce Designer (Part-Time, Hybrid or Remote)

We're looking for a Web & E-Commerce Designer with deep Shopify knowledge and experience in other platforms like WordPress and Squarespace. You'll work on client projects and SALT's own site, bringing both creative and technical skills to the table. Looking to hire within the next 4 weeks.

Core skills:

  • Shopify site development (theme edits and updates, HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript and Shopify Liquid)
  • WordPress & Squarespace builds
  • Landing page & funnel creation
  • Solid understanding of Shopify's platform both front and backend
  • Knowledge of Klaviyo campaign and flow setup & integrations
  • Backend integrations & theme edits
  • SEO best practices
  • Problem solving skills

 


 

🎬 ROLE 2 – Social Media Video & Content Creator (Part-Time, Hybrid — Victoria, BC)

We're hiring an ongoing content creator to lead video and social content for SALT and our agency clients. You'll be on-location for shoots, behind the camera, and in the edit suite. This is a hands-on hybrid role — you need to be available to film in Victoria and on Salt Spring Island.

Core skills:

  • Short-form video creation for Instagram Reels and TikTok
  • On-location filming for brand and product content
  • UGC-style and lifestyle content direction
  • Video editing with fast turnaround (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
  • Brand and product video for e-commerce clients
  • Comfortable in front of and behind the camera
  • Understanding of social media trends and platform-native content

Nice to have:

  • Experience shooting for product-based or lifestyle brands
  • Canva or basic graphic design skills for social assets
  • Klaviyo asset creation support for email and social graphics

 


 

✨ ROLE 3 – Brand & Events Assistant (Part-Time, Hybrid)

Help keep the SALT brand running smoothly! You'll handle follow-up emails, track event details, manage spreadsheets, and assist with product ordering and budget tracking.

Core skills:

  • Email management & follow-ups
  • Event coordination & spreadsheet tracking
  • Ordering products using our established systems
  • Budget tracking
  • Shopify back-end basics
  • Klaviyo email marketing support

 

💡 Bonus skills for any role: Video editing, photography, content creation, Squarespace experience, WordPress expertise, social media scheduling.

 


 

Hours & Pay:

  • 10–20 hrs/week per role

  • $20–26/hr depending on role and experience

  • Room to grow once trained
